Demon Slayer Mugen Train The Movie – Hashira Gou Kaigi / Chou Yashiki-hen 2 IN 1

Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu and Inosuke board a train[N 1] to meet the Flame Hashira Kyōjurō Rengoku and assist him in his mission to hunt for a demon that has killed more than 40 demon slayers on a train.

Soon after boarding, all of them fall into a deep sleep, and Enmu, Lower Rank One of the Twelve Kizuki, instructs four passengers,

all suffering from severe insomnia, to use magic ropes to enter the demon slayers’ dreams, and destroy their spiritual cores so that they can never wake up again.

In exchange, Enmu will allow them to have a peaceful dream.

During their sleep, Tanjiro dreams of reuniting with his late family, Zenitsu dreams of having a date with Nezuko, Inosuke dreams of going on a cave exploration mission, and Kyōjirō dreams of meeting his brother.

Tanjiro realizes that he is dreaming and tries to wake up, succeeding after being instructed by a vision of his father to kill himself inside the dream.

At the same time, Nezuko uses her power to burn the ropes, awakening the passengers. In fear of Enmu, the passengers attack Tanjiro.

While Nezuko awakens the others, Tanjiro confronts Enmu, and eventually beheads him.

However, Enmu does not die and reveals that he fused his head with the train itself.

Kyōjurō instructs Inosuke and Tanjiro to look for Enmu’s neck while he, Nezuko, and Zenitsu stay behind to protect the other passengers.

Tanjiro and Inosuke find Enmu’s neckbone in the engine room and Tanjiro severs it, killing him and stopping the train.

However, Akaza, the Upper Moon Three, appears soon after and attacks the demon slayers, severely injuring Tanjiro.

Kyōjurō fights him alone, and is fatally wounded by Akaza, who is forced to flee when the sun begins rising.

Tanjiro angrily calls him a coward for running away and declares Kyōjurō the winner of the fight, as he dies.

As the Hashira and the rest of the Demon Slayer Corps are informed about Kyōjurō’s death, Tanjiro and his companions tearfully mourn him.

炭治郎带着祢豆子与善逸、伊之助搭上无限列车，与“炎柱”炼狱杏寿郎见面，并协助他杀死潜伏在这班列车上的恶鬼。

上车不久后，他们遭到几只鬼攻击，杏寿郎轻松将其杀死，但在车掌检查完车票后，一行人呼呼大睡，此为潜伏在列车上的“下弦之壹”魇梦的能力，他指使四个乘客在炭治郎等人手上绑绳子，

借此进入他们的梦中，摧毁位在梦中的精神核心，一旦核心被摧毁，做梦者便会就此长眠。魇梦承诺那些乘客在事成之后能让他们享受美梦。

在沉睡期间，炭治郎在梦中与已故的家人团聚，善逸在与梦中情人祢豆子约会，伊之助在梦里与他的伙伴们进行洞窟探险，而杏寿郎则梦见了他的父亲及弟弟。

炭治郎发现自己在做梦后试图唤醒自己，他发现在梦中自刎便可清醒，同时，祢豆子使用血鬼术烧断绳索，唤醒魇梦的手下，他们为达使命便开始攻击炭治郎，但皆被炭治郎击败。

而进入炭治郎梦中的那个人被炭治郎温暖的精神世界所感动，只有他并未攻击炭治郎。

祢豆子叫醒善逸等人，而炭治郎在车顶上与魇梦对战，魇梦不断施术让炭治郎睡着，而炭治郎不断在梦中自刎，直到他将魇梦斩首。

但炭治郎很快地发现与他对决的并非魇梦的本体，魇梦的本体已和列车融合，在炭治郎和伊之助寻找魇梦的脖子的期间，祢豆子、善逸和杏寿郎保护着车上的乘客。炭治郎和伊之助在引擎室找到魇梦的脖子并将其斩杀后，列车也停下来。

魇梦被斩杀后，接着“上弦之参”猗窝座突然现身，要袭击负伤的炭治郎时，险被杏寿郎救出，此时猗窝座中意杏寿郎的实力并向他提出变成鬼的提议，但杏寿郎拒绝，杏寿郎在与他对战时身受致命伤，

之后猗窝座为了躲避清晨的曙光而逃跑，炭治郎掷刀刺伤了猗窝座。鬼杀队的其他成员得知杏寿郎的死讯，而炭治郎等人也为了杏寿郎的逝世悲恸不已。
