原作漫畫由 麻生周一所著的《齊木楠雄的災難》，描述沉默寡言的超能力者「齊木楠雄」，不但能窺視別人的內心，還能看透牆壁、以念力移動物品、瞬間移動、用心電感應傳送他人的想法，一出生就擁有一切的超能力。雖然他擁有足以掌控世界的力量，但卻也無法享受到一般人努力的成就感，每天只是想辦法讓自己默默地隱藏在人群之中。

然而事與願違，齊木楠雄的父母以及笨蛋朋友燃堂力、中二病患者海藤等人卻一點也不打算讓楠雄安安靜靜地安穩過活，甚至連全校第一的美少女照橋都愛上了他，究竟楠雄能不能使用他的超能力，在持續不斷的災難中繼續過著不受矚目的平穩生活呢？
